Your impact
Gathering for the 1st Annual Weston Jones Golf Memorial fills our hearts with warmth as we celebrate the radiant presence Weston brought into our lives during his precious 21 months on this earth. With his love for golfing and the outdoors, hosting this memorial in his honor was a natural choice—a fitting tribute to his vibrant spirit.
This year, a portion of the proceeds from our memorial will go towards launching "Wessy's Wonder Foundation," our new initiative dedicated to providing support to families grappling with the profound loss of a child, as well as siblings navigating the absence of their beloved brother or sister. The journey of child loss is one fraught with unimaginable pain and uncertainty, with no roadmap to guide those who tread it's difficult path. Through Wessy's Wonder Foundation, we aspire to offer solace to grieving parents, encouraging them to embrace the act of "wondering"—reflecting on the future their child might have had, cherishing cherished memories, and finding comfort in honoring their legacy through heartfelt gestures of remembrance.
In addition to our foundation's mission, we are proud to announce our partnership for this year's 1st Annual Golf Memorial with local charitable organizations, including Toys for Tots and the Salvation Angel Tree Foundation. Together, we will ensure that children in need experience the joy of receiving gifts during the holiday season, spreading love and hope in our community. As well as the Child Life program at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. This program, which provided invaluable comfort and care to Weston and our family during our darkest days, offers a beacon of hope to others facing similar struggles. By funding the Child Life program, we hope to extend that same warmth and support to children and families enduring hospital stays.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all our sponsors, donors, and supporters whose generosity and compassion make this event possible. Your contributions help us create something truly special, honoring Weston's memory while making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Weston’s Mom and Dad - Anna and Kyler Jones
