Wessy's Wonder Foundation

A Mission To Support Families After Child Loss
Wessy's Wonder Foundation was established in 2024 as a tribute to the cherished memory of Weston Jones, a sweet and mischievous 21 month old boy whose time on earth was cut tragically short. As his parents, we were determined to ensure that Weston's light continued to shine, forever brightening the lives of others.

Our mission at Wessy's Wonder Foundation is to provide support to families who have experienced the heart-wrenching loss of a child, as well as siblings who are grappling with the absence of their brother or sister.

The journey of child loss is one filled with uncertainty and pain. There's no guidebook to navigate the overwhelming emotions that accompany such a loss. Through Wessy's Wonder Foundation, we aim to reassure grieving parents that it's okay to "wonder"—to wonder about the future their child might have had, to cherish memories of their loved one, and to find solace in honoring their legacy through small acts of remembrance.

Our commitment to supporting families in their time of need is exemplified through a strong connection with the Child Life program at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. This program, which provided invaluable comfort and care to Weston and our family during our darkest days, offers a beacon of hope to others facing similar struggles. By funding the Child Life program, we hope to extend that same warmth and support to children and families enduring hospital stays.

Throughout the year, Wessy's Wonder Foundation will host various fundraising events, including golf memorials and silent donations, to raise funds and awareness for our cause. These efforts not only honor Weston's memory but also serve as a testament to the power of community and compassion in times of grief.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Wessy's Wonder Foundation and our mission to provide comfort, support, and hope to families in their time of need. Together, we can keep Weston's spirit alive and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
